Kolekcja: drive wheels

Drive wheels have a wide range of applications. From intralogistics systems such as industrial trucks or automated guided vehicles (AGVs) to drive wheels for machines and conveyor systems, for example, for material feed. Drive wheels often consist of a rim and a wheel tread. This provides properties such as damping or traction. However, drive wheels can also be manufactured homogeneously, for example from polyamide 6 G. We offer drive wheels with diameters from 50 mm to 500 mm. With different treads, the drive wheels cover a wide range of applications. Drive wheels with rubber, for example, have particularly good static friction values, whereas drive wheels with polyurethane tread are particularly durable and long-lasting, with very low tread wear. In addition, various drive options are available, such as: axles with keyways, gears, clamping bushes, and flange bores.

Drive wheels with polyurethane or Vulkollan® bandage

Drive wheels with an elastomer wheel tread such as polyurethane or Vulkollan® have wheel treads cast onto a steel, stainless steel, or aluminum rim. The wheel treads are designed with different Shore hardnesses and properties such as damping, elasticity, or resistance to specific media to provide unique running characteristics for each application. Softer drive wheels, for example, are used as feed or friction wheels to convey material in machines. Drive wheels with Vulkollan are special drive wheels made from a synthetic polyurethane material called Vulkollan. Vulkollan is known for its excellent properties such as high load capacity, wear resistance, elasticity, and resistance to oils, greases, and many chemicals. Drive wheels with Vulkollan are particularly suitable for applications where high load capacity and wear resistance are required, such as in materials handling, material handling, agriculture, and logistics. They are frequently used in conveyor systems, forklifts, trolleys, and other machines that move heavy loads.

Rubberized drive wheels

Drive wheels with rubberized treads are specially designed for applications requiring high levels of static friction. The rubber coating on the tread enables better traction and greater grip on different surfaces. Drive wheels with rubberized treads offer greater grip and thus reduce the risk of slipping, increasing safety when using machinery. Rubberized drive wheels are designed for both indoor and outdoor use, especially in damp and humid environments.

Drive wheels with keyway and keyway

One of the most common drive variants is a drive gear with a keyway and a nut. The keyway is a groove in the keyway. You should be aware that a key can be inserted into it to secure the drive gear to the drive shaft.

Drive wheels with gear

Geared drive wheels are wheels with a gear attached to the side. The gear is usually bolted to the wheel body. The motor's rotational movement is transmitted via a drive chain.

Drive wheels with clamping set

Drive wheels with a clamping set offer several advantages over conventional drive wheels. They allow for quick and easy installation on the drive shaft. The clamping set ensures precise and secure positioning of the drive wheel on the shaft, resulting in optimal power transmission and smooth operation. Furthermore, drive wheels with a clamping set are very robust and resistant to high loads and vibrations. They are capable of transmitting large forces and can be used in a wide variety of industries, such as conveyor technology, mechanical engineering, and the food and beverage industry. Drive wheels with a clamping set are available in various sizes and designs and can be manufactured with various treads such as polyurethane, Vulkollan, or rubber. Drive wheels with a clamping set can also be made entirely of steel, stainless steel, or plastic.

Drive wheels with flange bore (flange-mounted wheels)

Drive wheels with flange holes can be bolted directly to the electric motor or the gearbox (planetary gear). The shape and hole pattern of the rim are tailored to the specific drive system. In many cases, a custom design is required, which can usually be realized relatively quickly.

Drive rollers

Drive rollers can be manufactured in many different sizes and designs. They can be provided with various surface coatings to ensure optimal friction between the roller and the material being transferred. Typical surface coatings are rubber, polyurethane, Vulkollan, or polyamide. However, drive rollers can also be manufactured from a single material such as steel or polyamide.

Flanged wheels as drive wheels

We offer flanged wheels as drive wheels. They can be used to move linear devices, such as storage and retrieval machines in warehouse technology. The material used for the flanged wheels is irrelevant. In most cases, they are made of a single material, such as steel or polyamide. The flanged wheels can also be equipped with a wheel coating, such as Vulkollan® or polyurethane.

Drive wheels for industrial trucks

Drive wheels for electric pallet trucks, pedestrian stackers, low-lift trucks, and reach trucks for various manufacturers such as Jungheinrich, STILL, Linde, and BT. Vulkollan® is a registered trademark of Covestro AG.
