Triangle turntable chassis for platforms, equipment and stage elements
A turntable trolley is a compact transport device with three swivel casters under a triangular base plate and an upper pivot bearing plate. This plate securely attaches the trolley to the device, platform, or machine. The three-point support distributes the load evenly, enabling precise maneuvering and turning in tight spaces – ideal for stages, trade fairs, and internal logistics. It features a low profile and non-marking treads for floor-protecting operation.
Materials, rollers & running behavior
The upper pivot bearing plate is screwed to the platform/chassis with a form-fitting and friction-locking connection. Depending on the series, hole patterns according to standard grid dimensions, central bores, sealed precision bearings, low installation heights, and non-marking treads for stage floors are available. Compact dual-wheel swivel casters are advantageous for very tight radii; larger diameters increase ride comfort on rough surfaces.
Turntables are available in a wide range of designs – from models with mini heavy-duty casters for extremely low installation heights with high load capacities to versions with welded steel heavy-duty casters for maximum loads and demanding industrial environments. Depending on the application, corrosion-resistant materials, heat- or chemical-resistant coatings, directional/total locking devices, and particularly flat designs are available as options.
For quiet, floor-friendly operation, running surfaces made of polyurethane , thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) , polyamide or rubber are used, depending on the application.
Hot-cast PU floorings are low-marking/non-chalking , have low starting and rolling resistance and are resistant to mineral oils and many solvents – properties that have proven particularly useful in stage and event technology.
For corrosion-critical environments , housings and panels made of galvanized steel or stainless steel are common.
