What are double flanged wheels?

Unlike single flanged wheels, double flanged wheels have two symmetrically arranged flanges.

This design ensures even force distribution, prevents tilting, and increases operational safety under lateral loads.

Double flanged wheels are particularly suitable for:

  • linear travel paths
  • uneven load distribution
  • applications with changing directions

Double Flanged Wheels for Cylindrical Profiles

Double flanged wheels are often used as running rollers on cylindrical profiles or rails, e.g.:

  • cylindrical flat profiles
  • special profiles
  • welded rail constructions

The tread geometry can be customized to the respective carrier contour to ensure smooth running and low wear.

Materials for Double Flanged Wheels

We manufacture our double flanged wheels from high-quality materials:

  • Steel: C45, S355 (1.0045)
  • Stainless steel: 1.4301 (V2A), 1.4571 (V4A)
  • Polyamide PA6G - PA12G
  • Steel or aluminum core with PU or Vulkollan® tread

Coated treads are particularly suitable for noise reduction, vibration damping, and protecting sensitive running surfaces.
