For the logistics of a large butchery, we developed this pallet truck load roller as a custom-made product. In food environments – especially in the meat processing industry – rollers are exposed every day to moisture, fats, blood, salts and aggressive cleaning and disinfecting agents. Standard pallet truck load rollers with a galvanised or blued steel core corrode quickly under these conditions and become a hygiene risk and a source of downtime.

Our solution: a solid core made of stainless steel 1.4301 (V2A) in combination with a high-quality polyurethane coating with 92 Shore A. The stainless steel core is corrosion-resistant, suitable for food contact and permanently withstands constant wet cleaning. The polyurethane tread with 92 Shore A offers a high load capacity, low rolling resistance, good floor protection and is hydrolysis-resistant – ideal for continuous use on wet industrial floors.

Why custom-made product: Standard stainless steel hygiene rollers usually consist of a polyamide wheel body with a soft PU tread (approx. 75 Shore A) and do not have a solid stainless steel core. Pallet truck load rollers with 92 Shore A are, on the other hand, usually offered with a steel or polyamide core, not with a stainless steel core 1.4301. The combination required here of a solid stainless steel core and PU 92 Shore A is not available as a standard product – it was manufactured by us specifically for the requirements of this butchery business.
