For use in a soil milling machine, we have individually adapted a standard wheel with a polyurethane tread. The basis is a wheel Ø 100 × 30 mm with PU tread, running on two ball bearings. A gear wheel with 15 teeth was drilled and pinned to the wheel – turning the running wheel into a positively driven drive wheel.

The background: with soil mills and similar machines, the feed or travel drive must be transmitted via a wheel that both transfers the drive force and grips the surface reliably. A freely running wheel is not sufficient for this. Instead of an expensive custom wheel body with integrated gearing, we have combined a proven standard wheel with a separate gear wheel that is securely yet releasably connected to the wheel by a pin.

Variants: we manufacture diameter, width, bore, bearing arrangement as well as tooth count and module of the gear wheel to customer specification. Instead of a gear wheel, a sprocket, timing pulley or keyway for direct shaft drive is also possible; alternatively Vulkollan® or rubber as the tread.
