6308 2RS Dimensions: 40 x 90 x 23 mm deep-groove ball bearing

Single-row deep groove ball bearing 6308 2RS with dimensions 40 x 90 x 23 mm (bore x outer diameter x width), both sides with rubbing sealing washers (2RS). Inner ring, outer ring and balls are made of through-hardened chrome steel GCr15 (comparable to 100Cr6), the cage of sheet steel. Manufactured in accordance with DIN 620 in tolerance class P0. The sealing washers rub on the inner ring and also seal against splash water in humid environments. Due to the higher friction, this design is more suitable for lower speeds. The bearing is grease-lubricated for life at the factory.

Deep groove ball bearings mainly absorb radial loads and can also absorb axial loads from both directions to a limited extent. The bearing material is designed for temperatures from -20 °C to +120 °C. During installation, the pressing force must not be transmitted through the balls: press onto the shaft via the inner ring, and into the housing via the outer ring.
