80 mm turntable bearing, crowned, yellow – easy-running for stage, set & presentation

The yellow 80-mm-Drehteller in the Economy version with a robust die-cast aluminium rim is the ideal solution when stage sets, stage constructions and studio equipment need to be rotated frequently and moved flexibly. As a turntable bearing with three PU swivel castors – also known in stage technology as Turtle or Stage Swivel – the load can be moved effortlessly in any direction from a standstill.

The crowned tread ensures easy starting and excellent manoeuvrability in confined spaces – direction changes are effortless. The yellow polyurethane tread is gentle on floors, quiet and non-marking: perfect for sensitive hall, studio and theatre floors.

This convinces with very good value for money for standard applications; anyone who needs maximum load capacity in continuous use will also find the same size available as a Professional version.

Safety instructions – turntable swivel castors for stage, scenery and grandstand technology
Intended use

These castors are intended exclusively for the transport and positioning of stage structures, scenery and grandstand elements.
Use under person load is not permitted – grandstands, platforms and stage elements must not be occupied by people during movement or conversion.
Before each movement operation, ensure that no persons are on the movable elements.

Personal safety

Grandstands, platforms and stage structures may only be occupied by people when fully locked.
During the entire movement operation, a safety distance of at least 1 metre from movable elements must be maintained.
Use marshals with visual contact to all sides of the object – no movement without instruction.
In conditions of limited visibility, e.g. on dark stages, use additional lighting or acoustic warning signals.

Load and operation

Do not exceed the maximum load capacity per castor – distribute the total load evenly across all castors.
Use only on a level, load-bearing surface – check stage floors for sufficient load-bearing capacity.
No abrupt movements or impacts – move slowly and in a controlled manner.
Do not use turntable swivel castors for continuous transport or journeys over longer distances.

Locking and stability

After positioning, activate all available brakes and check that they engage correctly.
Before release for use with persons, check all castors for secure support.
On inclined surfaces, use additional mechanical securing – brakes alone are not sufficient protection against unintended movement.

Maintenance and inspection

Before each use, visually inspect all castors for damage, cracks or deformation.
Replace damaged castors immediately – do not continue operation.
Check the fastening screws regularly for correct tightening torque.
Check the turntable mechanism for smooth running and proper function.

Responsibility for safe operation lies with the operator. For commercial use, the applicable accident prevention regulations of DGUV as well as the requirements of the assembly venues ordinance (VStättVO) of the respective federal state must be observed.
