Technical data
U-groove roller made of polyamide 6G with keyway and all-round U-groove tread for secure guidance on a tube with Ø 76.2 mm (3"). The bore has a hub groove according to DIN 6885 and can therefore be connected to a shaft in a rotationally secure way – for driven rollers and drive functions. Polyamide 6G is a high-strength, abrasion-resistant technical plastic with low weight, quiet in operation and gentle on the mating surface. Made to order.

Keyway instead of ball bearing
This version does not run on ball bearings, but sits rotationally secure on the shaft. The hub groove according to DIN 6885 accepts a key and thus transfers the torque between shaft and roller. Typical for driven conveyor lines, deflection pulleys on shafts and all applications where the roller should rotate with the shaft rather than run freely. If the roller is needed as a free-running version, the version with ball bearings is the right choice.
Properties of polyamide 6G
- High strength with low weight
- Very good abrasion resistance and wear resistance
- Low-noise operation compared with steel on steel
- Gentle on the steel mating surface (tube)
- Resistant to oils, greases and many chemicals
- Electrically insulating
Applications
U-groove rollers made of polyamide 6G with keyway are used where the roller is driven via a shaft or must sit rotationally secure: conveyor tracks in mechanical engineering, special machinery, overhead conveyors and noise-sensitive applications.
