Flanged Wheel | 200 x 80 mm | Polyamide 6G | High load capacity with low dead weight
Technische Daten
The 200 × 80 mm flanged wheel made of cast polyamide 6G (PA6G) is the economical and lightweight alternative to steel wheels for rail-guided systems. It is suitable for overhead cranes, suspended conveyors, automated storage and retrieval systems, rail-mounted trolleys, and all applications where precise guidance on flat or profiled rails is required.
Construction & Material
The wheel body is made of cast polyamide 6 (PA6G) – a material characterized by high toughness, good compressive strength, and excellent sliding properties. Compared to steel wheels, the material offers significantly lower self-weight with almost equivalent load capacity. The tread is designed with a 3° taper to the wheel axis (conical), which supports self-centering guidance on the rail and minimizes edge wear.
Bearing Options
The flanged wheel is available in two bearing versions:
- With 2 2RS ball bearings: Double-sealed deep groove ball bearings are firmly embedded in the wheel body. This design allows for easy installation on an axle or bolt and requires little maintenance.
- With hub keyway: Without built-in bearings – the wheel is mounted directly onto a profiled shaft. This version is used when the bearing is provided by the customer or a different bearing configuration is required.

Advantages over Steel Wheels
- Up to 60% less weight – relevant for moving masses and energy efficiency
- Electrically non-conductive – no stray current via rail
- No rusting, no corrosion protection required
- Self-lubricating due to the material – less maintenance
- Gentler on the rail (less abrasion on the mating part)
- Quieter operation due to damping properties of polyamide
